I just finished "Spiritual Warfare and Missions," a book by by Ed Stetzer and Jerry Rankin. Although I am disappointed by the authors' use of modern Bible versions, I deeply-appreciate their zeal for Biblical missions. Importantly, they explicate the Biblical mandate upon all church members to be meaningfully involved in getting the gospel to unreached people:
(Matthew 28:19-20) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
The authors also discuss the spiritual battle that often discourages deeper involvement in missions. And they point to the resurrection power of Christ as the answer to this very real challenge. Amen!
